Enchanted Hills Camp was founded in 1950 by Rose Resnick with a vision of creating opportunities for blind and visually impaired children to build confidence, develop independence, form friendships, and experience the freedom of camp.

That vision continues today through LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired, the nonprofit organization that operates Enchanted Hills Camp and Retreat.

Over the decades, Enchanted Hills has welcomed blind and low-vision children, teens, adults, DeafBlind individuals, older adults, and families. Through outdoor recreation, adapted sports, arts, music, and educational activities, our programs create opportunities for discovery, personal growth, and community.

A Place Built to Endure

The 2017 Wine Country wildfires significantly affected Enchanted Hills. The work that followed helped rebuild and improve facilities, with accessibility and the needs of future campers in mind. The property remains an important part of LightHouse’s commitment to creating meaningful experiences and expanding opportunities for the blind and low-vision community.

Outside of summer camp programming, Enchanted Hills welcomes private events and group retreats. These rentals offer guests a distinctive alternative to conventional event venues while helping support the nonprofit mission behind the property.

Revenue from off-season rentals contributes to the costs of operating and caring for Enchanted Hills, helping sustain a place that has served the community for generations.
